The largest source of clean power on the U.S. grid is nuclear fission, providing 800 TWh of carbon-free energy annually from 100 GW of capacity.  But in the last 30 years, we’ve added just 3.5 GWs of new capacity.  In a world desperate for power, and in particular carbon free power, it is time to build new nuclear.
