There are more secondhand clothing retailers in the US than Starbucks and McDonalds combined. The market is massive ($10B for the vintage segment alone), and yet nearly entirely offline. To meet the demand of the 50%+ of Americans buying used clothing, Thrilling’s technology brings the secondhand apparel market online.
Why this work matters
The apparel industry is one of the leading contributors to GHG emissions worldwide, and one of the largest consumers (and polluters) of water. Secondhand consumption can reduce the industry’s environmental impact by nearly 75%. We approach this work by partnering with thousands of small secondhand businesses across the US, and help them scale their impact and revenue.
